Guten Tag Düsseldorf!

Guten Tag Düsseldorf!

We made it to our new home town! With a little excitement... We started the trip off right enjoying the elite life of being spoiled in  business class. At one point I had to ask Jeff to pinch me to make sure it wasn’t a dream because it was so surreal and too fancy. Sparkling wine before take off, fancy headphones, a TV remote/Nintendo controller for my own TV, a welcome bag with cozy socks, eye mask, toothbrush and lotion, reclining seats that lay down flat for a bed, a thick blanket and real pillow and so many movies to choose from. Not to mention full course meals for both dinner and breakfast. We’re going to be in trouble when we have to fly economy... or as Jeff puts it fly with “the muggles”.

The second flight wasn’t quite as seamless... there’s nothing quite like arriving late, running a half marathon through a foreign airport, going through customs, running again, barely making it to your gate just to sit and wait on a bus that then drives you back to the other side of the airport, past your first plane, and drops you off at the second plane... I’m not sure how we made it but we did! And 6 of our 7 bags made it too! Hopefully Jeff’s suit bag arrives before Monday! Next steps, find a car big enough for all our bags, check into the hotel, and go for a walk around the city!
