Birthdays!

It's been a busy month, so here's a combo birthday post starting with Jeff's birthday. We celebrated with a picnic and games in the park, a stroll around the city, zooms with family, and carrot cake to cap it off!

We spent Amy's 30th birthday snapping photos at a tulip field near Düsseldorf and checking a few more items off our "Things to do in Germany" list. We were planning to spend the weekend in the Netherlands, but the borders are still closed, so we made due with a field nearby and some local adventures.

Following the tulip fields, we stopped by Schloss Dyck. A moated castle with a large garden to wander through. Another castle added to list! It just keeps growing! We also bought some delicious strawberries from the local fruit stand to snack on. They were perfectly juicy, straight off the bush, and oh so tasty!

Our last adventure was a trip to Wuppertal to ride the Schwebebahn aka suspended railway! It was a bit like a rollercoaster ride, swaying back and forth as we passed over the streets and above the river.

The birthday weekend continued, with breakfast in bed on Sunday morning (thanks Jeff!) and another excursion to Zons, an adorable medieval town close by.

Another birthday in the books and so many flowers to enjoy!
